Located east of the city of Vancouver, the earliest people of this region were the Coast Salish. Coquitlam is the largest of the Tri-city communities, which also includes Port Moody and Port Coquitlam. It offers family neighborhoods and has extensive walking trails, parks, recreation centres and playing fields.
