Twila in the French Quarter
Just like the Vikings of days gone by would travel the world to make their conquests, so did Twila journey south from Minneapolis to conquer Bourbon Street!
Home to the world's biggest and best known Mardi Gras celebration, New Orleans is a city rich with history. There's the wild frivolity of Bourbon Street, gorgeous plantation homes in the Garden District and restaurants for every tastebud. It's sweet intoxication you feel dining in a lush, gaslighted patio surrounded by palmetto fronds and the perfume of sweet olive trees on one night, while on another it's a rowdy restaurant around a big table spread over with newspaper, piled high with shiny-red boiled crabs, with a bunch of loud friends up to their elbows in crab-eating delirium and toasting the good times with beer glasses covered in crabfat fingerprints.
