Billed as "The World's Toughest Boat Race," the Texas Water Safari is 260 miles of non-stop paddling from San Marcos to Seadrift. This is one mean-ass race that takes place each June. Depending on the abilities of those manning the oars, it can take up to four days to complete. You've got to be dog-tired by the end, no matter how long you take.
Their fist time entering, a couple of guys (Pete & Rob), along with their chase team, all donned they're colorful Skivvies and completed the 2002 race in 92 hours and 36 minutes. Their canoe sported a "Powered by Hippie Skivvies" sticker and the chase van was adorned with a 6-foot banner of ours. We're just so proud of the whole effort!
